Quick Start: I2P Setup for Internet Relay Chat (IRC) with XChat

Start
your I2P IRC Tunnel
Go to
your I2P Router Console and select "I2PTunnel"

Set your IRC Login name
Go to
the XChat | Server List
|
 |
|
|
Add I2P to your Networks
Click on "Add"
|
 |
|
|
Set I2P Network Properties
Click on
"Edit", set to the local I2P tunnel at port 6668
|

|
Connect to I2P IRC
Click on "Connect"
|

|
|
|
View
the I2P IRC Channels
Choose #i2p for development, i2p-chat
for community chat
|
 |
|
|
Join a Channel
Choose your channel, click "OK"
|

Ready to Chat!
Type your message and hit enter. You can
register you nickname using "/msg nickserv REGISTER
yourpassword". Afterwards, enter that password in the XChat "Nickserv password" field.
